“Legacy of Speed” Docuseries Debuted on MAV TV October 7

DENVER, NC (October 10, 2022) -- In a joint effort between LabWare Inc., The Garage Shop and Zaya Creations, a new docuseries titled “Legacy of Speed” debuted on Friday, October 7 on MAV TV.

The eight-part series chronicles the story behind, and building of, the No. 71 Bobby Isaac Dodge Daytona and No. 27 Donnie Allison Ford Talladega tribute cars paying homage to the legendary drivers, and the NASCAR Aero Wars of 1969 and 1970.

The Garage Shop is led by owner/driver Aaron Brown and the show, produced by Kevin Mooney of Zaya Creations, chronicles the relationship between Brown and fellow driver Vance Kershner of LabWare Inc. Their love of cars, the history behind them, going fast and Land Speed Racing led them to partnering up for this endeavor.

The viewing schedule had the premier 30-minute episode airing at 8 p.m. ET on Oct. 7, and episode No. 2 immediately following from 8:30 to 9 p.m. The show will air again several times during the week leading up to two new episodes airing back-to-back each Friday in October from 8 to 9 p.m. Please check the MAV TV for days and time following each Friday’s original airing.

Throughout the series, viewers will experience the evolution of the cars, the people who built them, the motivation and emotions that led to this venture. In addition, they will see the cars achieving speeds in excess of 200 mph at the Arkansas Mile and the legendary Bonneville Salt Flats.

“This docuseries will bring viewers into the fold of what The Garage Shop is all about, what LabWare is and the reasons we decided to build these historical cars,” said Aaron Brown, owner/driver of The Garage Shop. “Our team, with the involvement of Vance Kershner, took this entire process to heart and really gave it our all to make this successful.

“Now, we get to share the NASCAR Aero Wars story with a legion of fans who may not have ever heard of what took place back in the day. We also bring the story of Bobby Isaac, Bobby Allison, Donnie Allison and Dave Marcis’ involvement into the fold, as well.

“We sincerely hope everyone who sees this docuseries gains a better appreciation of what took place during that era of NASCAR history. A huge thanks goes to MAV TV for wanting this programming on their network.”

Kershner, who has quite the car collection himself consisting of multiple makes and models, was the perfect fit for this partnership.

“When I met Aaron on the starting line of Bonneville, we were both figuring out what each of us were doing there,” said Vance Kershner, CEO of LabWare, Inc. “Once we realized how much we had in common and our mutual love of cars and going fast, the rest became history.

“My love of speed started with my first car, a 1973 Plymouth Road Runner, when my daily goal was to go airborne and run 100 mph. I’m now able to go more than 200 mph at incredible places like Bonneville in cars built by The Garage Shop team.

“This docuseries will share how this all came together, the story of NASCAR’s Aero Wars, some of the best drivers in its history and their motivation to race. It also gives insight into the reasons and thrills we all get from Land Speed Racing. I look forward to sharing this journey through Zaya Creations and the MAV TV Network.”
